Whether listening to the radio, through an overhead supermarket speaker or via another method, music sets your mood. For example, most people will listen to music while they exercise to motivate their minds into pushing harder. Music is also a key ingredient in relaxing the mind - it is a way of guiding the soul away from the day's problems and towards a tranquil plain. You feel the magic of the music pass in, and around you, we can harness this power and use it to guide us.
The initial lead into this blog is a piece of writing I wrote, and for me, music is about the whole composition, so the words and tone all need to flow, but most notably, it is about how it makes me feel. Top studies show that music can help to improve the health and creativity of the listener. Tone and speed also set the mood of the music, even without words, and will speed or slow our heart rates. YouTube's free music channels are perfect for sleep, meditation, mindset balance, study, focus, dancing, and improving mood. However, YouTube does place adverts at the beginning and occasionally in the middle of content - unless you pay a monthly subscription. Consider it the cost of accessing free and unlimited music. Commercial radio stations also tend to have too much conversation, reminding you about the station you are listening to. Meditation Take the time to learn how to heal yourself. These guided chapters aim to address issues in your subconscious and to bring back balance in your life.
Whole Body Balance These channels are great for deeper and longer meditation and yoga sessions. So listen, relax, and feel the soothing sounds wash over you. Sleep REM sleep is the best time for your body and mind to heal. In addition, natural sounds and low frequencies help to reduce stress and insomnia, fostering your mind into a deeper sleep.
Focus, Study and Relaxation It can be hard to find focus while studying, so here are my favourite relaxing tunes to help with learning. No words, nor lyrics, just melodies and peaceful music to keep your mind going.
Chilled Gentle binaural music relaxes the mind and helps with focus. Beta wave tones in the music can help you achieve a higher state of awareness while not distracting you from your task. You can play these beats at low volume, so there is no need to wear headphones. Jazz You may find that electronic music does the opposite of relaxing you and that jazz is more your thing. So here is a selection of ambient jazz for you to work or sleep to. Dance and Uplifting Music For those that need to elevate their heart rate while they work, play these channels at full volume, and they are great for boosting your morale during breaks.
