Transform Your Vibe

​Spring is all about a new start, the beginning of a new stage of life, of a growth cycle, about planting and cultivating new seeds.

​In Australia, Spring comes in September. This is a transition period, the change of seasons from the immutable winter to the lively Spring.​

​As the days go by, the days become lighter, longer, the weather gets warmer and nicer.

I love Spring as my heart opens under the sight of new life bursting all around me, the colours sprouting from the trees and people's gardens. I indulge in the feel of the sun's warm embrace as it awakens the surroundings as well as our bodies and souls from the winter slumber.

I often compare our thoughts to the Spring's seeds. So the question appearing is: How do we cultivate our thoughts and ideas (just like seeds) to bring the focus towards the now, to discover this new growth and self-reflection when it comes to our energy, goals, plans, and actions, both within our inner and outer worlds? Especially during this ongoing pandemic?
​Spring, just like this pandemic, is undoubtedly a crazy and unique period for all of us. No matter your age, each person is prone to go through a confusing "blah" moment during the lockdown's seemingly endless days. This can be generated by bad news fatigue, from the TV or social media, or both, by feeling sad, frustrated, angry, upset, lethargic, alone, or isolated from your loved ones, as a result. You might even find yourself feeling disheartened, despondent or even grieving for the loss of what was and often wondering if this pandemic will ever plateau out.
Let's take my example. For the last month, I have been feeling flat. I dare to say I even considered myself lifeless and certainly lacked all motivation to work on my projects due to all that is happening here and globally. But, at the same time, I know very well that I cannot keep feeding these un-serving, even harmful, emotions. So it's time to overcome and transform my flatness.

​​What does feeling flat mean? I translate this state as feeling less than lively. Or, simply put, your excitement and joy have decided to check out and take a vacation.

​​I have broken down the word FLAT into Feel, Love, Achieve and Transform as a part of my integrative healing solutions method.  My first concern is to implement change around what is within your control. My objective is to help you shift and or defuse yourself from all these feelings of flatness, stuckness, overwhelm, fear, hurt, or anger which can intensify your emotions around feeling flat or exhausted. Thus, the following ideas are a guide to assist you in uplifting and transforming your vibe.
F = FEEL
​

Is what you are currently feeling your feelings, or are they to do with someone, events, or situations? Either way, whatever you are feeling in this moment, it is ok to feel this way.

However, if these feelings are no longer serving you, the following will assist you in finding the best ways to support yourself to uplift your current vibe? First, when going through each step, be open and honest with yourself.

  1. First, take your time and focus on breathing.
  2. Give yourself the space to feel. What are your exact emotions at this moment? (Keep in mind that this is about yourself and how you feel now, it has nothing to do with whatever/whoever might be around you).
  3. What do you need to implement right now to get you excited (even if it is something that takes 1 minute)?
  4. What is the best action to take now to uplift your vibe? Is it to some laughter and fun.​

L = LOVE

How is your self-love, self-compassion, and self-care, in this present moment? Can you honestly say that you fully experience this type of love towards yourself and, then, towards others? Your entire world needs to be in loving balance. So, here are some questions to keep asking yourself that help you get and maintain this loving state of being:

  1. Are you genuinely connecting with your true needs?
  2. How do you express love towards yourself?
  3. What brings you joy and makes you smile?
  4. What makes your love shine? (Don't stop to just one thing or person, list everything that opens your heart passionately).​

​A = ACHIEVE

Do you still keep your plans and desired achievements fresh and vivid in your daily program? Or have they become a distant memory, squashed by everything that is going on? It doesn't even matter if your objective/ goal/ project is something tiny or huge. It would help if you treated them all equally by celebrating each achievement or step forward each time. Praise each action taken, each little thing that you have already completed. Subsequently, this practice will assist you, step by step, on the journey from being numb to an action-oriented mindset.
  1. Write a list with all the achievements you intend to make, with a desired due date: today, tomorrow, monthly, in one year, etc.
  2. Do you have any stashed away project that still needs completing?
  3. What motivates you to achieve your goals? At the same time, are they aligned to your values?
  4. Which are the best ways to celebrate each achievement? ​

​T = TRANSFORM

The previous year might have been very active for most of us. Even with lockdown and the inability to go anywhere, we have been busy tidying and re-organizing our households, garages, and finances. Some of you might have even started new projects, crafting, learning new ways of delivering workshops, courses, and other services via YouTube. You need to check if the motivation and focus are still there at their highest capacity after one long year.

  1. Transformation means taking action. For you to flip the switch, what do you need to do so that your light shines bright again?
  2. Start learning something new. What can you select out of a multitude of books, courses on all domains that stir up your curiosity?
  3. What change is in your control that you can implement to bring you joy once again?
  4. What do you need to do to unstick yourself?​

​Where Do You Find All These Answers?
​

All your unique answers to the above questions lie within yourself. And they will come quickly to you as long as you are willing to listen to your gut feeling, the inner voice, aka your intuition.

What does it take to hear the voice of your intuition? When you fully connect to yourself, you will transform and discover surprisingly high levels of excitement and happiness and be motivated to implement within your life, despite feeling the restrictive and never-endlessness cycle brought on by the pandemic.

Always remember that you are a work in progress. So be gentle with yourself and ensure your environment is set up correctly to support you during this transition.
​Here are the five steps that will transform you and unlock your inner resilience:

  1. FLAT model: Feel, Love, Achieve, Transform.
  2. Keep sowing the seeds of love; keep cultivating your inner transformation.
  3. Be aware of what nature has to offer. It will lighten and brighten your pathway.
  4. Constantly detach yourself from social media and the news, to avoid bad news fatigue.
  5. Find alternatives to transform your objectives into small and constant achievements. For example, if you plan to go on an international ocean cruise, an alternative option might be to experience the Murray River via a paddle steamer. It is still a win, as it is a cruise after all. There are numerous alternatives to each of your objectives. You only need to give your creativity and playfulness a chance.
